Hydro would like to inform you of the planned power outages that will affect the entire Sheshatshiu, North West River and 5 Wing Goose Bay. (See detailed list below). In order to minimize the impact on customers, power outages will be implemented overnight on Friday, October 29 from 1:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. Work at Churchill Falls has been completed knocking out the main transmission line to Upper Lake Melville. Most customers will be provided with backup power. However, during this period, power outages will occur in some specific areas as the demand for power exceeds the capacity of the reserve units.
